How to Change File or Folder permissions with cPanel or DirectAdmin

If you are using hosting with DirectAdmin then in server control panel select “File Manager” and place a checkbox to select which folder(s) you want to delete. Then go to the table below, after that, in text box write what type of permissions are needed to change numbers. Click on button named set Permission.

 

If your host is running on cPanel then in File Manager find a folder or a file you want to change permissions for, then press on the right side with your mouse. From appeared menu choose Change Permissions and set permissions you want to use. When you are done press Change Permissions button.
