Follow These Steps to Change the Default Text on the Front Page

After installing osCommerce, the first thing you would like to do is to change default text, design, products, and so on. For this reason, you may change the default text on the front page.

To do this, open file “includes/languages/english/index.php” for editing. There you will find a list of definitions with various text. You should know which one we should edit to change default text on the front page. In this case, look for the line that includes “TEXT_MAIN”. For example, use the following line to change the default front page text.

define('TEXT_MAIN', 'Our pretty text');

This way you will set it to “Our pretty text” which will be displayed on the front page. You may set it to any other text which we would like to display on the front page as well.
