Host1Plus Introduces Cloud Servers Powered by KVM and In-House Developed API
The international hosting provider Host1Plus introduces Cloud Serversßeta hosting services, coming on September 5th, 2016.
This week Host1Plus has announced the upcoming launch of Cloud Serversßeta on September 5th. Cloud Servers are already available for early access at the company’s website. Anyone who registers for a free ride on the Cloud can choose an instance of Ubuntu 16.04 or CentOS7 with 2 cores, 2 GB RAM, 60 GB storage and 5 TB bandwidth or Windows Server 2012 instance with 2 cores, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB storage and 5 TB bandwidth. Free Cloud Servers will be handed out at random before the prospective service launch.
Powered by KVM, Cloud Servers will bring better performance, advanced customization and flexibility. Customers will be able to choose any operating system for their Cloud Server – pre-installed Windows and Linux templates, as well as other operating systems, such as Android, FreeBSD, QNX, etc., to be installed manually by the user.
The new service will be complemented with Host1Plus in-house developed API that is expected to provide full control of the Cloud Server during the whole service lifecycle. Host1Plus API will expand monitoring and networking capabilities, as well as enable the users to implement API to their existing systems.
Cloud Server plans will provide up to 8 cores, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB storage and 20 TB bandwidth. These capabilities will allow customers to run several applications or frameworks on a single server. Other benefits that come along with the new service are IPv6 and dedicated IPv4 addresses, on-demand scalability, monthly billing without any additional contracts and prompt server deployment.
The company’s executives claim that the launch of the new service will bring better performance for advanced users who lack the power and control in OpenVZ. “Not only we are excited to introduce this new service that will benefit our customers with better performance and advanced functionality, for the first time we are launching our public API that will expand service control for the end user”, says Aistis Zenkevičius, the CTO at Host1Plus.
Host1Plus Cloud Servers will be first introduced in Host1Plus new data center in Frankfurt, Germany. Frankfurt data center provides sustained data exchange all over Europe and beyond. Nine autonomously operated but interconnected data centers have access to 400 carriers and DE-CIX internet exchange, a full range of AC and DC power products, N+1 generators and 24/7 monitoring. Equipped with Industry-leading Intel® Xeon® processor E5 v3 family, 10Gb uplink and DDR4 error-correcting-code random access memory, Frankfurt data center is well-suited for high workloads.
Aistis Zenkevičius reveals that this year Cloud Server hosting will be also launched in Chicago, Illinois, and São Paulo, Brazil. For more information on Cloud Servers, features, and planned improvements, read Host1Plus blog post.
